With Christmas now a fading memory, i took the bank Holiday Monday as an opportunity for The Last Photo Outing of the year.

With some pre-planning the objective for the day was to head North to Kenmore and climb for what seemed like an eternity along a tight winding single track road to find a small reservoir with a Dam and Grouse Beaters Hut on the banks. Being a typical grey Scottish winter morning this was going to have to be a black and white image as shared below.

Next on the days shot list was to explore the Falls of Achran only a few mile down the road, It’s not a far hike but has reasonable incline which for the unfit can be a challenge but well worth the effort, shot below captured from the small bridge crossing the stream.

last shots of the day would be from a walk around the Birks of Aberfeldy which were named after a poem of the same name by Scotland?s national bard, Robert Burns, who penned The Birks o?Aberfeldie in 1787. With more steps that care to remember there are many opportunities to capture shots from the many waterfalls along the trail.
