It was time to hit the road again and get out and about for some photography, As usual an early start with taking an east coast tour of Scotland.

First photo of the morning was the Elie Ness Lighthouse

Just a short walk from the light house was an old ruin where i took another shot of Elie Lighthouse from the window.

A couple of miles further up the coast is small fishing village of St. Monans, here i was interested in checking out the ‘Zig Zag’ breakwater outside the harbour walls.
Quite an impressive structure so we decided we’d return later in the afternoon to see it at high tide

After a pit stop in Anstruther for some food it was off again up the coast this time stopping in at Crail where nothing much was going on as the tide was out but i did like this little street view

Next up was St. Andrews, where we took advantage of tide being out to grab some shots of the castle from the rocky coast line

We then headed up to the cathedral where we wandered around taking the sheer scale of the ruin, the next image was taken from the top of St. Rules Tower giving great views across the city.

With the tide now heading back in we also headed back down the coast and popped into Pittenweem to see what was going on there.

And Finally Back to St.Monans to set up on the Harbour walls and wait for the high tide and Sunset.
I have to admit it was one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve seen in a very long time.
