Had a fantastic day at the Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally, getting up at 05:30 to set off on the 1hr 20 min drive to the Hermitage near Dunkeld. From the Hermitage car park we trekked for about 30 mins up hill into the Craigvinean Forest, following the stage 1 course looking for an area to set up for some photography, Stage 1 of the rally was mostly a down hill run for the competitors so with some fast paced action about to start we settled just short of a hairpin bend to capture the event,

Just loved the old Fords tearing up the track and kicking the back-end out on the corners

This guy came in just a tad too hard and lost it – fortunately he was able to drive his way out of it.

After Stage 1 completed we decided to trek further up the course, that was hard old slog as it was up hill for 1hr until we reached where we would catch Stage 6 of the rally deep in the Craigvinean Forest.

A long tiring but eventful day, looking forward to the next outing
