Glen Affric, a National Nature Reserve often claimed to be the most beautiful of all the Scottish glens stretches for around 30 miles from Kintail in the west to within a couple of miles of Cannich in Strathglass, and is home to one of the largest remnants of the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest that once covered much of the Highlands.

Some members of the Camera Club took a trip to explore and photograph Glen Affric and the surrounding area.

Setting of on Friday morning we headed North to Inverness and then followed the A82 along the banks of Loch Ness stopping off at Urquhart Castle to take in the scenery, From there we set off towards Glen Affric and stopped off for Some Photos of Dog Falls.

only a few miles further in we happened to catch the stunning reflections at the dam on Loch Beinn a’ Mheadhoin

Saturday was an 18km walk around Loch Affric, with breath taking scenery and some wildlife it was truly a beautiful place to visit.

We found this little Chaffinch in the River Affric car park

Not too far into the walk we came across some deer, who were very interested in what we were up to

Plodda Falls which is the highest waterfall in the local area at over forty meters high
